Day 20 - Sunday, July 15, 2012 - Sunday, funday

We left Morro Bay and rode 15 miles to San Luis Obispo. Here we met David and Brenda Snell. They flew all the way from Ohio to have breakfast with us. We had a great meal with them, including shared ice cream of course.

Along the way Melissa happened to run over a large piece of broken bottle and shredded her tire. We were prepared and packed an extra tire and quickly handled business.

We got lunch in a small town that was heavily mexican influenced, Guadalupe. Our afternoon was spent battling a headwind and climbs outside of Vandenberg Air Force Base on Highway 1.

We decided to call it quits after 73 miles in Lompoc. There was no camping available in the area, so we checked in to the Days Inn motel - best $75 spent - free beer, nachos (worst dinner decision), and a hot tub which was apparently filled with bleach (seriously, our eyes were burning and Mike and DJ's shorts are lighter now).
