We woke up refreshed and hiked through the redwoods. On the trail we learned many interesting facts about the flora and fauna. It's difficult to describe the size and beauty of it all.
We packed up and rode 48miles on our "rest day". Along the way we stopped at Clam Beach State Park and passed out in the sand. Z worked on his bib tan and DJ worked on his astronaut tan. We took the Hammond bike path out of this area, a nice change from the busy 101.
In Arcada, the location of Humboldt State College, we hit up a whole foods-like market for food supplies. The college town had a laid back hippie feel to it...good vibes.
We rolled onto the Pacific Bike Path going south to our destination for the night, the Eureka KOA. In case you didn't know, KOA is the K-Mart of campgrounds. We were able to hit up an ice cream social, do laundry, and take long hot showers. Not too shabby.
